Open a shift before your first sale

The till won’t take a sale until a shift is open. Count what’s really in the drawer, type in the two amounts, and you’re ready to sell.

How to open one

Press F4, or the Open shift button in the top bar. The float pad opens.

  1. Count the drawer properly: the dollars, then the riel.
  2. Tap a box and type, or use the on-screen keypad. The currency switch moves between dollars and riel.
  3. Press Open shift. The sale screen opens straight away.

If you counted wrong

Close the shift (F4 again) and open a new one with the right amounts. The old shift is kept, because nothing at the till is ever deleted, only added to.
